Long time no update... Here's a recap!

Hi everyone! It's been a crazy couple of months here in the Connor household. I'm finally back to updating my blog though. Since I last wrote all four of us have had birthdays! Anthony is 4 & Lauren is 1 now! To the left are their birthday portraits! Can you stand it?! I still can't believe it they are both so big already.

Other big news is that we found out on New Years Eve that we were pregnant again but we actually lost the baby on Valentine's Day. As soon as we began dealing w/ the loss of the baby we went straight into birthday season w/ Anthony's on the 12th of March, mine on the 16th and Lauren's on the 20th! Plus there was St. Patrick's Day and Easter in there too!!

I keep saying that now things can get back to normal (as normal as they can be) since the birthdays are behind us. But one of my good friends reminded me that I have a baby shower to throw in SC, a 1st birthday party to attend in Roanoke and a Scrapbook convention/Yankees game in Detroit all in the next month! GEEZ!! What is normal anyway, right?!?!

Other highlights lately:

We have joined a playgroup with some amazing moms and kids. Anthony is making some real friendships again. It's taken him a while after we pulled him out of school but he's back in the grove of things.

We have joined a new Church. We have belonged to our church for over 6 years but sadly enough we haven't forged any real friendships there. I have been involved in the nursery and Sean has volunteered w/ Habitat for Humanity and w/ helping the elderly w/ housework, etc... We were also part of a young professionals group at our church but we just hadn't made the connections that we wanted. There were several events that led up to our decision to change churches but it has been the best change we have made since our decision to move to Richmond.

We have also re-enrolled Anthony into PreK this fall. He'll be attending Catholic school hopefully for K-8 so we have enrolled him in the church's PreK. He's now guaranteed a spot for the K-8 so we are very excited about that! Now we just have to figure out if we can afford it down the road. We have plenty of time to figure that one out though! ;-)

I hope everyone is doing well and I'll be updating the blog more often now. Sorry for the lapse.

Hi Mindy ~~ I just checked my Bloglines account and saw that you had updated your blog recently with 3 entries. So glad to see you back in blog-land! Loved the pictures and the updates. Looking forward to seeing you all at the shower - last I heard the Stephens and Barretts are also coming so that should be fun. See you then! Love you all ~~ Nancy
