Anthony's 4th Birthday @ a U of Richmond baseball game

Anthony w/ his UofR shirt! We bought the three boys Spiders shirts for the baseball game but then there was a cold snap and as you can tell from the next picture, we were all bundled up instead of wearing t-shirts! First thing we did when we got there was get hot chocolate for everyone! I think Anthony was the only person there who really cared about the outcome of the game. It was his first official baseball game so he was very excited and asking Sean tons of questions. It was pretty adorable.

Anthony was very "anti-party" this year but he did want to go to a baseball game and he wanted Thomas and Noah to come w/ him.

The crew at the game. Mark & Thomas, Noah, Sean, Anthony, Me & Lauren, and Susan, Ben and Matt. We only stayed through the 3rd inning b/c it was so cold. But we all came home and ordered pizza. The boys got a playdate out of it so they were very happy!

Anthony's Yankees Birthday Cake!

Lauren enjoyed her first real taste of cake! Probably more than Anthony even did! She was covered in it. We just had to offer it so we could get a prelude of what was to come in a week!!

Lauren's Birthday 3/20/08

Anthony & I making Lauren's cake! It is supposed to be the Baby Einstein Caterpillar. As you can tell from Anthony's face, he was quite the jokester helping me ice it. HA HA! I started the cake around 3 or so but I was up doing it until 2am!! Urgh! It was a total of 6 cakes, 2 cupcakes and 2 mini cupcakes. But it turned out nice so that's all that matters.

Lauren is getting ready to blow out her candle. We had her in the cutest little birthday dress before this but we decided to change her before she devoured the cake! YUM!!

The cousins: Anthony, Alexis and Lauren.

Long time no update... Here's a recap!

Hi everyone! It's been a crazy couple of months here in the Connor household. I'm finally back to updating my blog though. Since I last wrote all four of us have had birthdays! Anthony is 4 & Lauren is 1 now! To the left are their birthday portraits! Can you stand it?! I still can't believe it they are both so big already.

Other big news is that we found out on New Years Eve that we were pregnant again but we actually lost the baby on Valentine's Day. As soon as we began dealing w/ the loss of the baby we went straight into birthday season w/ Anthony's on the 12th of March, mine on the 16th and Lauren's on the 20th! Plus there was St. Patrick's Day and Easter in there too!!

I keep saying that now things can get back to normal (as normal as they can be) since the birthdays are behind us. But one of my good friends reminded me that I have a baby shower to throw in SC, a 1st birthday party to attend in Roanoke and a Scrapbook convention/Yankees game in Detroit all in the next month! GEEZ!! What is normal anyway, right?!?!

Other highlights lately:

We have joined a playgroup with some amazing moms and kids. Anthony is making some real friendships again. It's taken him a while after we pulled him out of school but he's back in the grove of things.

(Play group coordinating a photo before our Easter Egg Hunt)

We have joined a new Church. We have belonged to our church for over 6 years but sadly enough we haven't forged any real friendships there. I have been involved in the nursery and Sean has volunteered w/ Habitat for Humanity and w/ helping the elderly w/ housework, etc... We were also part of a young professionals group at our church but we just hadn't made the connections that we wanted. There were several events that led up to our decision to change churches but it has been the best change we have made since our decision to move to Richmond.

We have also re-enrolled Anthony into PreK this fall. He'll be attending Catholic school hopefully for K-8 so we have enrolled him in the church's PreK. He's now guaranteed a spot for the K-8 so we are very excited about that! Now we just have to figure out if we can afford it down the road. We have plenty of time to figure that one out though! ;-)

I hope everyone is doing well and I'll be updating the blog more often now. Sorry for the lapse.
